Plumas-Eureka Fire Department was formally established in 1981 to provide local
fire protection to its residents. In 1994, Plumas Eureka Fire Department trained
its personnel in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to better assist its residents
and visitors with medical emergencies. Today, Plumas Eureka Fire Department continues
with its commitment to provide quick professional service to all emergencies large
or small.
Station Apparatus include:
1 - Type 1 Engine (1250 gpm pump w/1000 gal tank)
1 - Type 2 Engine (750 gpm pump w/1000 gal tank)
1 - Type 3 Engine (325 gpm midship pump, 85 gpm auxillary pump, 500
gal tank, 4x4)
1 - Type 2 Rescue (EMS equipment, auto extrication equip, low angle
rope rescue equip, misc. rescue equip, 4x4)
1 - Command vehicle
