The Plumas Eureka Fire Department is a full service fire agency. We are one of twenty fire departments located within Plumas County. We provide emergency services to the communities of Plumas Eureka and Johnsville, and the communities of Blairsden, Graeagle, Clio and Whitehawk under a joint automatic aid dispatch with our neighboring Graeagle Fire District.
Plumas Eureka and Graeagle Fire Departments have an excellent working relationship and in addition to our automatic aid dispatches, we also conduct weekly joint training.
I started in the fire service in 1971 and have worked for four different fire agencies in the Contra Costa County area until moving to Plumas Eureka in 2000. I joined the Plumas Eureka Fire Department in late 2000 and was appointed Fire Chief in 2003.
I am very proud of the hard work and dedication of our volunteer firefighters who continually train to provide the best level of service to our community and residents.
